Once your RBC credit card is active, take a few minutes to secure it. Sign the back of the card if it has a signature strip, and destroy any older card it replaces.

## Right after activation

**1. Sign your card**

If your card has a signature strip on the back, sign it.

**2. Destroy your old card**

If you're replacing an older card, cut it up and throw it away.

**3. Check your PIN for travel**

Some terminals and ATMs outside Canada won't accept a PIN longer than 4 digits. Change your PIN before you travel if needed.

## Lock your card

If you misplace your card, lock it temporarily in RBC Online Banking or the RBC Mobile app. Select the card and switch the **Lock Card** toggle. Switch it off again to unlock.

## Lost, stolen, or fraud

> **My card is lost or stolen**
>
> Call RBC's 24-hour line at **1-800-769-2512**. RBC will block the card and issue a new one. Emergency replacements are available in most places worldwide in 3 business days or less.

> **I see a transaction I didn't make**
>
> Lock your card in the RBC Mobile app or Online Banking, then dispute or report the transaction through Online Banking or the app.

> **I'm travelling and having a card issue**
>
> Call RBC collect at **416-974-7780**.

> **My card is damaged**
>
> In Online Banking, select the card on the account summary page, select **Replace Card**, and follow the prompts. A new card arrives in 7 to 10 business days.
