The RBC Mobile app lets you activate your physical RBC credit card once it arrives in the mail. On iOS, you can also add a virtual card to Apple Wallet and start using it right away.

Activate your physical card

Sign in to the RBC Mobile app

Use your Client Card number or username and your password.

Select your new card

Choose your new credit card from the Accounts Overview list.

Choose Add or Activate Your Card

On the Credit Card Details page, select Add or Activate Your Card.

Activate

Select Activate Your Physical Card and follow the on-screen instructions.

Use your card before it arrives (iOS)

On iOS devices, you can choose Add a Virtual Card to Your Apple Wallet to use your card immediately.
You must be enrolled in RBC Online Banking. After you’re approved for a new RBC personal credit card (excluding the RBC RateAdvantage Visa), sign in to the RBC Mobile app. If you’re eligible, the option to add the card to Apple Pay appears in the app within 48 hours of approval.
